Davinci Meeting Rooms Launches Meeting App

Wading into the hot competition brewing between virtual meeting and conferencing apps such as Zoom and Microsoft’s adjusted Meets offering, Davinci has released its own app with a more physical delivery. The popular shared office space and meeting/conferencing location finder site davincimeetingrooms.com has taken to iOS and Android for its latest launch, which comes as the UK slowly starts to ease lockdown measures and get back to work.

The app has a slick interface which allows multiple search functions and filters to help you find and book the ideal meeting or conference location from the firm’s database of over 5000 rooms. The filter also allows you to look for tech specifications such as computers, screens and projectors for your desired room as well as providing options for catering and other services. In additing to meeting room hire rooms and conferencing facilities, the brand now also caters for the rental of office and working spaces by the day.

This app is expected to be a useful tool as we move into the post-coronavirus era where we expect to see many businesses take part (or all) of their work force mobile, removing the need for a permanent dedicated office space. It’s more than likely that demand for temporary working and conferencing facilities will spike when lockdowns end as we see the typical commute start to vanish.

Online Car Buying Gets Augmented Reality

Cappasity has launched a free mobile app for creating 3D visualizations of your car. The mobile app has been designed to allow car owners to capture full 3D imagery of their vehicle for use on car seller websites. This will allow potential buyers to inspect the car in an augmented reality style view, allowing a more in-depth inspection and virtual experience without needing to be in the same space as the car physically.

The use of 3D tech means users can walk around the car, zoom in and view from multiple angles to get all the details they want about the vehicle in question. With some creativity, it’s also possible you’ll be able to virtually interact with the 3D objects, in this case cars, and complete actions like opening the doors and lifting the bonnet. The app delivers a very realistic virtual experience which could in the very near future change the way we look at online car buying. You’ll be able to do everything bar the beloved kicking the tyres all from your PC or mobile device.

It must be said though, while the tech is impressive, it does seem that our recent innovations in the app world are leading us into a future society where physical interaction with others becomes further and further removed as we improve our ability to complete tasks virtually.
