The best smartphones for gaming apps

Eazi-Apps Support • November 28, 2017

The major mobile marketplaces have grown rapidly in recent years and now boast over 5 million digital products collectively. A number of mobile games have become some of the most popular. In fact, in 2017 the mobile game market raked in a revenue figure of 40.6 billion USD.
This rapid growth has led to a rise in the number of mobile game developers and a push by manufacturers to produce more advanced phones.
Here are a few examples of smartphones that have helped game developers take their apps to the next level.

OnePlus 5
In recent years there has been a huge increase in the number of smartphones coming out of China – OnePlus has quickly become a leading manufacturer in Western markets.
The latest iteration, which runs on Android 7.1.1, features an Adreno 540 graphics chip and a powerful 8-core CPU
that runs at 2.45 GHz. This processing chipset packs a powerful punch and has given mobile game developers a lot to work with when it comes to creating realistic animation and detailed environments.

Samsung Galaxy S8+
Samsung has received a lot of flak recently for its questionable design choices but the latest version of the Galaxy looks to give gamers everything they need.
Although the device only runs on 4GB of RAM, the Galaxy S8+ doesn’t struggle to keep up thanks to an 8-core processor. What really sets this version apart from its competition is the huge 6.2-inch screen that runs a crystal clear 1440p display. This provides a vibrant and immersive gaming experience and really shows off the hard work put in by developers to create stunning graphics.

iPhone X
The usual accusations by critics that Apple is running out of ideas were blown out of the water recently with the release of the tech giant’s latest smartphone.
The iPhone X features a generous 5.8 screen with a Super AMOLED display, resulting in crisp quality and accurate colours. With the new A11 Bionic chipset, the iPhone X won’t have a problem running demanding games but it is the extra features that show promise for game developers.
Advanced AR abilities, smarter gestures and object recognition are some of the new additions that will open up new
creative opportunities for game developers to innovate and take mobile gaming to the next level.
