What do we know about the new iPhone?

All the details from Apple’s latest launch

If you’re in the midst of having a new small business app designed, you may soon be seeing it come to life on an all new iPhone after Apple officially launched its new generation handset yesterday.

Apple officially unveiled four new designs during Tuesday’s highly anticipated event, with a quartet of 13 models. The new designs are known as the iPhone 13, iPhone13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Max Pro.

So far, we know that the 13 has taken leaps forward, with several features which eclipse the tech sported by last year’s iPhone 12.

Apple says the 13 will give users:

·A larger battery

·A larger chip for a much faster user experience

·An additional one to two hours of use per day before charging

·A new camera

Camera

There’s lots to be excited about from both a tech and user perspective in fact. One of the most exciting additions for users will undoubtedly be the overhauled camera, which could mean most people will no longer need to take a separate camera with them to capture life’s most memorable moments. The 13 Pro and Pro Max have a 3x zoom telephoto lens while the camera itself is ultra-wide for extremely professional looking shots on even the smallest of subjects and great nigh-mode shooting. There’s also a cinema mode, too.

Apple’s vice-president Kaiann Drance calls it “the most advanced dual camera system ever in an iPhone”.

Battery Life

It seems like every new gen iPhone boasts better battery life and the 13 is no different, offering an impressive 28 hours of video playback.

New Display

The iPhone 13 promises users a richer experience. Its Super Retina XDR display can refresh up to 120 times per second, with intelligent performance that sees it ramp up when needed. It will also slow down when not required to preserve battery life.

Fastest Chip in the World

Hiding under the cover is the world’s fastest ever smartphone chip. The A15 bionic and 5-Core GPU powers ultra fast performance, while performance and efficiency improvements work to extend battery life, giving an extra one to two hours of use between charges. Charging itself is also upgraded with faster wireless charging with MagSafe.

Operating System

The iPhone 13 will run on iOS 15, has extensive privacy options built in and 5G.
